Stucknut Sports Forum

Rules
The STUCKNUT.com Message Board is a public forum, the usage of which binds you to the Rules of Conduct as set forth below.

Moderation
The moderators on Stucknut.com are in place to ensure that abuse of these terms and conditions does not take place. Each moderator is expected to abide by the terms and conditions and enforce them so as to promote a general atmosphere that enables Stucknut.com to be accessible to anyone who desires it. Mod powers include the ability to edit and delete posts and delete, lock, and unlock topics. If a mod locks or deletes a topic, do not repost it. Additionally, Mods are not omnipresent and cannot handle every situation in the timeliest manner. However, if you run into an issue that needs mod attention, contact the mod(s) of that particular forum first, and/or a Global mod. Please maintain respect, and do not go to the administrator without speaking with the mod staff first. The Mods are given a certain trust for good judgment by the administrator; therefore they should be treated as the first and final authority. If you are unable to reach a moderator in an expedient fashion, contact a global moderator or the administrator. Do not, however, contact the administrator or global moderator based on simple disagreements with a moderator. Each moderator will handle things on a case-by-case basis, and with their own particular style. It is important to recognize that each person handles each situation differently, but if you feel the moderator has not handled the situation, please contact a global moderator or the administrator.

Bans
Bans will be determined by the Admin and Global Mods. Users will receive notification via Private Message if they have reached a level of discipline. There are four levels: Warned, Moderated, Muted, and Banned. Warned is a simple note sent to the user and a tag on the user's profile of their status. Moderated is any post made by the user requires approval by the Admin in order to appear on the forum. Muted is the inability for the user to post or chat. However, the user can still log in and view the forums and do things such as make their picks in the NFL pool. Banned is the complete removal of all privileges. The Administrator and Global Mods may choose to reduce a user's warning level if the user has shown sufficient reason to have such an action occur.

The current system for receiving a ban is: 1st offense = Warning, which includes a PM from the administrator which will inform you about the offense, as well as the consequence of what happens the 2nd time. 2nd = Moderated Posts. The Administrator will moderate your postings for 7 days to ensure that you are complying with the terms. 3rd = removal of posting and chat privileges for 3 days. 4th = 7 day ban - this will be a full ban, no logging in, no posting, no chat, no PMs. 5th = 30 day ban - reinstatement decided by the Nutters council. 6th = permanent ban. Each of these items is logged as a percentage, with the percentage increase queuing the next action at each turn. The percentages are only changed by the Administrator and Global Moderators. Please remember this system. If you log onto the Stucknut.com message boards and receive a message that you have been banned, it is important that you remember where your ban has fallen on this scale and abide by the decision. You are not permitted to return to the board under another username. If you do, your ban time will be extended to the next level. Bans will not be discussed in public by the administrator or the moderators.

Smack/Language/Spam
Smack is the foundation of Stucknut.com. However, treat others on these message boards as you would expect them to treat you. Talking trash about another user specifically to provoke a negative response from that individual, group or entire community is not acceptable. These posts will be deleted and will result in a ban. Hateful smack, including blatant personal attacks, posting of a user's real life information, posting of untagged pornographic images or videos, and/or legal violations of any other sort, such as the posting of criminal activity that has either been engaged in or provides instructions in the ways to engage in it, will result in bans. Thread titles cannot include profanities or inappropriate slang terms. Most slang terms and profanities are permitted on the boards, but should not be abused. Spam is acceptable within reason. Constant spamming with messages that provide no intrinsic value should remain restricted to a minimal grouping of threads. It is not allowed to repetitively post any content for the sole purpose of aggravating people who do not like said content. Only posting one- or two-word responses, or links to the same item over and over will not be acceptable. Postwhoring is acceptable, however, as long it does not get out of hand. The board may not be used as your personal advertising website. You may link to your site, product, et al in your signature space and ultimate profile, but you may not make multiple topics for the express purpose of advertising.

Social Networking
Any postings made on a person's social networking site (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, et al) are not fair game for the forums. These entities are meant to remain separate in every way. Similarly, it is your own responsibility to ensure that the people from this site that have access to your social networking sites do not possess ill intent. Stucknut.com moderators cannot police the information you hand out anywhere outside of Stucknut.com, so choose your friends wisely. If it is discovered that you are using social networking sites to abuse or give out information regarding Stucknut.com members, you will be appropriately disciplined.

NSFW
An NSFW(Not Safe For Work) tag is required if posting inappropriate images or videos in forums other than The Frisky Kitty , which is the dedicated forum for such images and videos. These tags must be included within the topic title. Many users on Stucknut.com access the site during work hours, and should not have to face issues with their place of employment because of a failure to use proper tags. Posting of images or videos that include nudity, scat, etc., is not to be abused, regardless of tags. Mistakes can be made, but repeated violations will result in bans. There is absolutely no posting of images or videos that implies sexually explicit/suggestive/provocative/nude imagery of seemingly underage persons (under 18 years of age). Any such posting will result in an immediate and permanent ban.

Racism
Stucknut.com will not tolerate hate speech in any form. This includes, but is not limited to, racist slang terms, hateful comments based on skin color or background, religious bashing or intolerance, gay bashing, sexist or misogynistic material, faith based prejudicial statements, derogatory remarks, and all poor taste jokes about these topics.

Copyrighted Material
Stucknut.com board users are not allowed to post copyrighted material without including the source. If you are looking to post a story from Sports Illustrated, you must either do so by remote linking exclusively, or post the story within a set of quotes and include the link you got it from. The use of pirated material is unacceptable, and such items will be removed and the user warned as per the system stated previously.

Posting Huge Images / Signature Pics
Make an effort to downsize large pictures, or simply leave them as a hyperlink. Mobile devices and dial-up modems can get stuck in massive lag otherwise. Large pictures are restricted within signatures via board code.

Private Messages
Private messages are not to be reposted in the public forum at will, and the messages themselves are subject to all aforementioned board rules. Abuse of this feature, and use to material contained with PMs, will result in losing the ability to use it, as well as bannings. However, it is still your responsibility to control the content of your messages in the first place.

Chat
The chat feature is in place for those that achieve member status. What this means is, after a certain number of posts from account creation, the administrator will decide if you should be eligible to chat. All previously indicated board rules are enforced in the chat. The administrator and global moderators have full authority over the chat, and may remove your chat privileges if you are seen to abuse it. This abuse includes racism, hate speech, personal information postings, and personal attacks. There are a number of filters in place than can be cycled on or off. If using the chat in your work space, it is wise to turn off the filters.

Questionable Content/Reminders
Remember, these are public boards, so act like you would if you were in a public place. STUCKNUT reserves the right to choose the guidelines of objectionable content based on its knowledge of users and policy. These issues are left to the discretion of the individual moderators, but may include any material that is knowingly false and/or defamatory, misleading, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, racist, sexist, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy or that otherwise violates any law or encourages conduct constituting a criminal offense. By registering at the Stucknut.com Message Boards, users agree that any post deemed inappropriate may be removed at the sole discretion of Stucknut.com. Stucknut.com also has the right, at its sole discretion, to revoke board privileges at any time without notice or reason. Stucknut.com may alter the terms at any time, depending on the severity of the offense. Do not think that just because a ban system is in place, that it cannot be altered in proper circumstances. Stucknut.com is not responsible for messages posted on the Stucknut.com boards or the content therein. Unless expressly stated otherwise, this includes messages posted by Stucknut.com personnel, agents, representatives et al. Stucknut.com reserves the right to reveal the identity of or whatever information we know about any user in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by said user. Stucknut.com has the right but not the obligation to monitor and/or moderate the Stucknut.com boards. Stucknut.com reserves the right to change any or all other parts of this User Agreement at its sole discretion and without notice, including but not limited to implementing Rules of Conduct, Terms of Service and/or other measures.
