The mgmt of the Dback is majorly screwing up by letting him go. He's not retiring - he's going to be a free agent, and he's going to sign with another club. He's still a solid hitter - he's just not worth $10m a year. Shame on them for not re-signing him. They'll see in the spring (in their new red unis) when the stands are even emptier than they have been.
