I would like to take this time and let you all know just how much our family really appreciated everything all of you did for Ethan.
The support everyone here showed him during his fight against cancer was really amazing.
The way everyone sent so many thoughts and prayers to a child most of whom none of you had ever even met really helped us deal with what he was going through in so many ways. There were many day's when I was bummed out and feeling bad that I logged on the site and I would see a post in his thread, or chat with someone that would ask how he was doing and it would always make me feel better just knowing that we were not alone and total strangers had him in their thoughts. That is what always helped the most, just letting us know you cared. I will never forget it!
There are so many people here to thank that I think it would be wrong of me to list you all by name, I would feel real bad if I left anyone out.
I will try and thank you all personally when I can, give me some time, I want to do it in a more personal way. There are so many of you, it might take me awhile, I have not forgotten. I'll get there eventually.
My brother asked me to let you all know how much it meant to him and to thank you all. We laid Ethan to rest yesterday, it was a beautiful service. I went by his house last night and he made a point to me to be sure and let you all know how much your support for Ethan meant to him and his wife. They are very greatful.
I know this is a smack site and all, I love that part of it myself. I have a lot of fun here.
I have to give everyone a big salute for everything though, Ethan had a crazy ride in his short life, no doubt.
I take comfort in the fact that all the crap he went through is going to help Doctor's know how to better fight cancer in the future. That is a good thing!
