Colin Cowherd says discusting comments about Eddie's Death
« on: November 14, 2005, 03:40:20 pm »
I was listening to ESPN radio earlier today, "The Herd With Colin Cowherd", and Colin Cowherd said some rude comments about Eddie Guerrero's passing. He accused Eddie and other wrestlers of steroid use. Cowherd said, "who cares that he died" and that Guerrero's death was not "newsworthy." He also started speculation on the "unknown causes" of his death. Colin Cowherd has a subsite on ESPN.com.

UPDATE: Please make another post informing the viewers that you can call ESPN at 860-766-2000. They can call, they will have to ask to speak to a customer service person, that way the voice of fans can be heard. Hopefully Colin the Coward Coherd will be fired. Thanks.

Already on Wikipedia:

On November 14 2005 he made distasteful remarks about WWE wrestler Eddie Guerrero who had died less than 24 hours earlier. http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2005_/articles/1131996184.php

Due to his insensitive andpoorly timed remarks, ESPN was flooded with thousands upon thousands of phone calls demanding his removal after these comments were aired. dookie

Y'know, it's one thing to talk about a funny way someone died like we have on Rome countless times, it's quite another to go all "who cares" or whatever.  No matter your feelings on wrestling, Eddie was still a freaking human being, for God's sake.

Romes stories on funny deaths are usually due to that persons own idiocy.? Whatever the cause of Eddies death, it IS newsworthy because MILLIONS of people tuned in weekly to watch this guy.? And to start speculating on his death before an autopsy is tabloid reporting at best.

Yeah Rome will make fun of wrestlers who sunbathe over a lamp for hours *CoughMastersBatistaKipJamesCough* but even he would have the heart to say something nice about him and how his family changed wrestling.? He can have a good interview with a wrestler, he did one with The Rock during the Super Bowl week and he sounded interested.

Intersting to note, ESPN disconnected its service line number because of the thousands of calls from wrestling fans.  Keep it up guys, start blasting e-mails to this son of a bitch and to ESPN Radio. Viva La Raza

This is why even an idiot can hav a radio/tv gig.

Its one thing to speculate that 'roids is what did E.G. in (I think it'll be congestive heart failure once the autopsy is complete), but to say that "no one cares" that he died is just wrong.  I wonder if Cowturd would go say that to his wife & three daughters.  Better yet he can go to the next Raw/Smackdown show and say that to Chavo or Chris Benoit and then we'll see what happens.

We'll miss you E.G.  :'(

Guess what?  You resurrected a thread that's two years old!

If you need to start one, whatever.  But I've never gone that far back...
