From the Elba Archives:Harry Caray's last song
« on: October 17, 2009, 05:10:54 pm »
Composed shortly after Harry Caray's demise, sung to the tune of 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame'

Are you ready? uh-one, uh-two, uh....

Take me out to the graveyard,
Take me there right away.
Carry my coffin please Skip and Chip
Let it slip and you won't get a tip.

Then they'll drop, drop, drop me in the ground,
Still looking good in new clothes,
For it's one! Two! Three days I'm fresh
Then I decompose
Mal, TVO. Throwing out the white trash.

I wish I had saved those triplets and death smack from Elba and SC #!. The parodies were epic. No one on these splinter boards seem to be able to capture the essence of them. Thanks for the memories Mal.

Wolfman,

I wish I could say 'there's plenty more where that came from' but alas, I probably only have a couple from the old days hanging around. I'll post them as I find them. Wish some other old-timers would step up with some material from the old days. Jon the Chowd where are you?
