Sprint and Google Voice Team Up
« on: November 08, 2009, 05:17:37 pm »
Interesting little feature offered by Sprint, though I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other carriers have this possible, also.

Starting today, Sprint has waived it's charges for conditional call forwarding, meaning that if you get no answer, it will forward to any number you want at no cost.  Immediate call forwarding (*72) still costs 20 cents per minute, but I'd rather be able to answer my phone first, anyway.

Anyway, once you've set up a Google Voice account (which I have: sorry, I don't have invites), simply dial *28 plus your google voice telephone number from your cell, and all voice mail will be saved to Google Voice as opposed to on your standard voice mail.  They're not the best at transcribing, yet, but they'll get better.

It will be nice to be able to check all my voicemails all at one place.
