Wow.  The Cubs suck.

And we're not talking typical Cubs ineptitude here.

They haven't had this kind of offensive drought since 1963, back in the pre-"Leo the Lip" days.  Back when we were run by the College of Coaches.

This a train wreck of historic proportions.

So, looking at these bizarre stats, which is the worst?

Here's something that's sad.  Although the Cubs are on a four game losing skid, they are atill at .500 and are only five games back from division leading Reds.  By Comparison, the Phillies, in 2nd place in the NL east, are 15-14, one game over .500, and are five games back from the division leading Mets.

All hope is not lost for the Cubbies, and I cansay that with a straight face, but just barely.

I trend toward 3 runs in 56 innings.  The scoreless for 20+ innings happened as recently as the early 90s.

But hey, at least we didn't start the year off with a 14-game losing streak like in '97, so that's something  :uhh

Always remember the Cub fans' motto:

"We've seen worse shit than this!"

You’re right, Jeff.  We did take two of three from the Dodgers, and anything less than a sweep is pretty much unacceptable there.

Look at the bright side. On a cost per win basis, you're better than the Yankees.

The Padres had won four in a row before they swept Chicago.. Being that they're playing well right now, I'm not sure what's so bad about them..

this is how the padres play, they will do good in may and then fall apart, look at the two previous years
