This is kind of a part question and part survey to all of you who have a video game system, whether it be Xbox, PS2 or PS3, Wii, whatever; if you buy sports games, like Madden, do you buy the older versions of the games too? Basically if you do buy the older versions of sports games, do you play them?

I ask because I am thinking about getting older PS1 and PS2 games, but only the sports ones, like NBA Live, Madden, Fifa Soccer, etc. The reason why I bring this up and thought of this is because I see a lot of Sega Genesis games at one of the local stores and I have thought about buying a Sega Genesis to play them all, but then I thought "I have a PS2 already, so why don't I just buy old PS1 and PS2 games?" Just thought I would ask

I play only sports games but I usually get them about 2 years old,
mainly because I don't play very often and I don't want to drop
$50 each on them.

If it's a game I play frequently, like FIFA, then I pony up every year. But I buy Madden or college ball once every 3-4 years. The games just don't change enough to make it worth paying $60 for what is basically the same thing.
