I went with:

AL

C - I. Rodriguez (Yep, Tigers cornbread hot and fresh)
1B - M. Texiera (trying to help him keep Tino at bay)
2B - B. Roberts
SS - M. Tejada
3B - H. Blalock (cuz I hate the piss outta A-Rod)
OF - V. Guerrero, M. Ramirez, G. Anderson
DH - D. Young (again Tigers cornbread)

NL

C - P. LoDuca
1B - A. Pujols
2B - C. Utley
SS - J. Rollins
3B - M. Ensberg
OF - B. Abreu, C. Floyd, C. Lee

I agree with yours except

AL

DH Tito Ortiz, the guy still mashes the daylights out of that ball

NL

C Ramon Hernandez (leads the league in every catcher category)
2B Jeff Kent ( Dodgers may suck, but Kent is playing great ball)
SS Izturis (best defensive SS still)

Yeah my eyes zoomed right to Dmitri, Ortiz does belong there ahead of him.  Tho one way or another I suspect D-Y will be the D's rep in the HR derby.

Only one thing tho; Ramon Hernandez is on the DL, that's the whole reason I didn't vote for him; he hit a setback so he might not be available anyway.

I remember the days when D. Young used to skate in because Detroit had to have a rep at the all star game.

You ever notice how we can take any serious post on any subject and quickly help it deteriorate into a festering pile of shit?

Just checked out ESPN's final roster for the All Star game and noticed that neither Clemente nor Timlin made the roster.  From a pitching standpoint, these two guys are the only reason why Boston is in 1st place.  Snub, or is Francona just using his spot to rest his pitchers?  ;)

What pissed me off is that there's only one Tiger on the roster despite us hosting the game...usually that's good for a second rep., and we round here thought that Bonderman's 10 wins and good ERA woulda gotten him on board.

Goes to show what you Michiganders get for thinking now, doesn't it?

I saw an interview with Francona on Baseball Tonight and his final decision came down to picking between Bartolo Colon and Matt Clement.  He ended up picking Colon.  Hopefully for him this doesn't blow up in his face by leaving his own guy off the roster.

I don't see any unfair advantage why Francona would take BF Colon over Clement.
