Goodbye Crackberry
« on: April 09, 2013, 09:46:27 am »
The only reason I got the damn thing was because when my Nokia flip phone...yes, flip phone...battery died like 5 years ago, they wanted $40 for a replacement vs switching to a Blackberry Curve for $30.  Since I've gone with a Macbook Pro for my laptop it was only a matter of time before I went to an iPhone.  I debated between the 4S and the 5.  The only features of the 5 that I liked were the lighter weight, the lightning adaptor and the extra storage.  I didn't like the bigger size and didn't need the camera/video upgrades so I decided to go with the 4S.  Supposed to arrive tomorrow or next day.

I like the consistency and speed of the BB messenger as well as the keypad but there just aren't enough features on the new BB's to stick with them.

Not looking forward to loading all of my contacts again, even though I know there's ways to short cut it.  I need some practice using the small touch pad anyways, so entering the contacts will be a good exercise.

My question is, should I get a cover and if so what kind?

Not flashy but works well.  I went from a Crackberry to an iPhone 4S.  You'll like it a lot.

No 4G there? I installed and integrated LTE sites for Rogers 2 years ago.

LTE 4G? anything else is just a cunt hair better than 3G unless it's running on a fiber backhaul. Rural areas will be likely on a copper network so some get suckered into upgrading to 4g thinking they will actually be getting 4g speed. Some don't give a shit, the just want a cooler phone.

Not about the speed it's about how fast your phone is.  4GLTE cool but does it really matter at the end of the day unless you gotta sick beta plan and stream youtube videos every day and want to believe you have a stronger connection or whatever go ahead.  you got suckered

I'm not interested in download speed, I just want the versatility that BB can't give me as well as pairing up with my other Apple products.
