CLEVELAND??!? is the team to beat
« on: August 07, 2014, 09:23:40 am »
The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement in principle to trade Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, 2013 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick, Yahoo! Sports is reporting.

According to Yahoo! sources, Love has committed to opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with Cleveland next summer for five years and $120 million-plus.

....and they just became the team to beat in the EC.  Minny did the right thing given the fact Love was going to walk and trying to trade him during the season (before the trade deadline) wouldn't have given them much leverage at all.

the Cavs of course get a double double machine to go along w/the King and Kyrie...wOw!  they still have to play but, they are the odds on favorite to win the EC.

Great trade for both teams really. Cavs will win the East easily and lose to the Spurs in the Finals

Not from what I "witnessed" last night. Losing your over-hyped home opener to the shitty Knicks, who were without Clyde, Monroe and Reed? WTF  ??? :o Well, I guess it was just Cleveland being Cleveland.

The Heatles lost their first game too.  Just saying.  Not as easy as snapping your fingers to get a completely new team to play in a completely new system.

Can anyone tell me why Kevin Love does not play in the 4th quarter? You gave up Andrew Wiggins and more for this guy and he's not good enough to be on the floor in the 4th quarter??? 19-20 at nearly the mid-season mark is unacceptable given the amount of talent on this team. 39 games in and Blatt has no clue about his rotation. At some point, the coach is responsible. Things cannot get much worse for the Cavaliers.

Even more amazing is they are TWELVE games behind the ATL for #1 in the East.

This is why basketball is a team sport.  Cleveland still needs time to become a TEAM, although I thought they would be much further along than this

Lebron looks like he's trying to get Blatt fired tonight. Then again his teammates are also helping.

That trade for Love could go down as one of the worst in history.  If Love doesn't stick around (and given that he has a coach who benches him for the fourth quarter, why would he?) the Cavs would have given up three first round picks, sacrificed their future for a win now mentality, and would come out of it with NOTHING.

I think that would be awesome.  :drink
