if its not hoyer then i'll be shocked. I think the Browns bye is after week 3 so, if they are 0-3 book johnny football starting game #4. if they are 1-2 (depends on how they lost i.e. last sec. fg) or better hoyer keeps the job

here is a case against ryan fitzpatrick being the first out:
1. texans  backups suck
2. their first 5 games are washington, oakland, ny giants, buffalo, dallas (they can start 2-3)
3. they should have an above average defense

Above average defense? :lol

I only see three defenses in the league at this moment that look as dominate, or seem capable of having a better season than the Tejans D.

Seattle
Kansas City
San Francisco (although their secondary is suspect)

Watt and Clowney as bookend D ends could make the shittiest D in the league look average.

I'm still going to say Mich over Nebraska and Wisky over MSU. Wisky wins the final.

Heard that as well. My brother just relocated from Charlotte to Jacksonville and has been keeping an eye on him. Thats the buzz there as well. My vote is Henne if he even makes it to game 1. Never been impressed with him as a QB.

Kansas City

You realize they had the 'weakest' schedule last year?

Then when they faced a good team with weak WR, like the Colts (last year)and they were lit up for like 40 in one half.

This.

Opening on the road against Pitt? I'm predicting 2 or 3 picks and a field goal. Offense will sputter all night and the D will be winded by the 3rd Q. Ugly.

i said the texans should have an above average defense.

the way i see it, with 32 teams, the 16th ranked defense is "average."
with jj watt alone they should be better than 16th.

This shows there are a lot of shitty QB's in this league  ???

From most likely to least likely to be benched:

Brian Hoyer - No way the Browns will be able to fight this off if he starts slow and they are 0-3 at the bye.  Pressure will be too much

Chad Henne- Ideally he plays and Bortles learns this year.  Henne is so erratic though that this could change in a matter of 2 weeks.

Matt Cassel- See above, though Cassel is a far better stopgap measure than Henne.  When Cassel has talent around him, he produces.  Having AP and Greg Jennings will help

Josh McCown- He's never been a great QB, but not an awful one either.  Given the Bucs other choices, he probably plays for a while

Ryan Fitzpatrick- He's not as bad a QB as some think, though he makes awful decisions at bad times.  But given his backups (unless Keenum fever strikes again), he'll probably be at the helm for a while

Matt Schaub- Given his experience and the Raiders other choices, he probably plays most of the season, barring injury
