Recommendations wanted for newer legal thrillers
« on: August 27, 2014, 05:30:50 pm »
I've read all of Grisham's works, any suggestions on newer authors and/or books in the legal thriller genre? Love me some court room drama.  :popcorn

The Lincoln Lawyer series by Michael Connelly are good reads.  Not as intricate like Grisham, but pretty good thrillers, and fun too.

Have you read his new one "Grey Mountain"? I have not, I'm saving it for vacation but I've also read all of Grisham's books.

If you're looking for another legal thriller, then by all means go with some of the suggestions. If you like JG's writing and want to read some other books, his Ford County is good but his best non-legal book is Playing For Pizza.

You can also get into his kids series "Theodore Boone" I haven't read them, but if I was traveling and that's all I could get my hands on, I'd read them.

Richard North Patterson has some good ones.

Escape the Night (1983)
Private Screening (1985)
Degree of Guilt (1993)
Eyes of a Child (1995)
Caroline Masters (formerly titled "The Final Judgment")(1995)
Silent Witness (1997)
No Safe Place (1998)

Going back in memory but these are the ones I remember as being the best.

Michael Connely is pretty good as LJ mentioned.
Steve Martini is ok if you are interested.

All I can think of off hand.
