Cardale Jones
« on: January 13, 2015, 12:20:19 am »
So what do you with him if you are Ohio State next year?  Can you bench the NC winning QB for Braxton Miller and or JT Barrett?

If you are Cardale why do you come back as you are not assured the starting job and your NFL stock may never be higher.  It is a short 3 game show but you showed a lot against top teams and reportedly have a great arm.

It is really hard to me as I think if you are Cardale you have to go pro. Now if you go pro where do you think he gets drafted or does he drafted.

What pick would you want your team to take him with?

Very interesting situation.

I think dude should strike while the iron is hot, kick ass at his workouts, and that should propel him all the way to the 2nd round, if not higher, given how QB-hungry so many teams in the league are.

He's already 22 years old and a junior I think.

He is a sophomore, but I'm pretty sure he it 3yrs out oh HS. He spend one year at that football JUCO in Virginia.

Miller will leave. The offense is better without him. If he was smart though, he'd let Meyer teach him the Percy Harvin role. No chance that dude is playing QB in teh NFL.

Absolutely FP, He should go. His play in the last 3 games may override his lack of intelligence. He's dumber than bman.

Why go?  He comes back and the Sucks are #1.  He isn't going to shrink in size, and Meyer can coach him up to the point that he is the #1 overall pick in the '16 draft.

Dude has to go, he has been given proverbial Manna from heaven. sure he will wash out, but he is going to anyway, at least this way he gets paid. plus he could catch on in Canada or the refurbished USFL or arena ball or something like that, way it was going dude was going to be working for whatever alum was going to be nice enough to give him a decent paying gig after THE football factory of the state of Ohio had used him up for scout team duties and the like.

Braxton Miller is graduating this year with one year of eligibility left, so he is likely to transfer.
JT Barrett is coming off a broken ankle, which is setting off small alarms for me as far as physical and mental healing.
Cardale Jones is nowhere near the first round, despite looking great for 3 games.  Going in the second round to a team not desperate for a QB might be a blessing for him, going to be a backup on a team that already has a good QB (Pittsburgh would be a perfect fit because he most reminds me of Roethlesberger).
I want him to stay, but I won't fault him for going for a paycheck to support the kid he just had.

Dudes like 6'5 250lbs. Cannon arm and trucks LB in his path.

Why wouldn't he go pro? Didnt he just see what happened to the 2 guys ahead of him?

Barrett will be the QB next year. Miller will be in Oregon or at Fla St.

Jones could be a late first round pick at best, and a day 2 pick at worse.

The QB class coming out this year is TERRIBLE.
