George Karl
« on: February 12, 2015, 12:11:33 pm »
Great coach, but it's going to take a lot for the Kings to contend in the stacked West.

He needs to either:
- Keep Boogie happy and find a star to pair with him
- Somehow convince the NBA to move them to the East

Kings are having an identity crisis this year.

They played hard for Mike Malone. A lot of fans are still pretty confused as to why they let him go. That said, I'll take the Karl hire any day of the week.

Keeping Cousins happy might be quite the task. His agent and "posse" tried to nuke the Karl deal because of Karl demoting some of them in his old coaching staffs etc.

Hopefully we see the Cousins of the Shaq mentor days and not the Cousins of the UK days.

Karl has won everywhere he's been, but this will be a challenge.  If for no other reason that the West is just absurd.  there is talent on the roster, but it'll hard to move up.

the owner; randaive (sp?) letting malone go was retarded.  he had them @ 9-5 and Boogie had just went down w/some sickness and it went downhill from there.  he (randaive) wants to run the team as he does his daughters b-ball team which is bullshit.  someone must've put a bug in his ear cause he's piped down and he's not been heard from for a while.

Karl is a good hire mainly because he knows how to win.  the key is going to be getting Boogie to buy into what he's selling.  it can be done but, it's going to take some work...

This is Cousins team. I say that from a fan's perspective but now Cousins is certainly feeling that way after to 3 coaches in a half season.

What "big names" and big personalities has Karl dealt with? Was Anthony there in Denver?

i agree and i'm sure he (Boogie) is tired of having to change his game because the coaches keep changing.

As a Wizards fan I was hoping Karl would stay un-hired long enough to end up coming here and replace Randy Wittman and his badly outdated coaching philosophy.
