I am a company man
« on: February 21, 2015, 04:57:08 pm »

I had a stuck nut, so I put my wrench on the bench and used PB Blaster.

Then after a few minutes I picked the wrench back up and I was able to get the bolts off the caliper.

Thanks PB Blaster!
And thanks O'Reillys too.

WD40 doesn't do shit on rusted bolts. Yoh this or something similar spray a bunch in and then go walk away and do something else for 15 minutes. The good stuff will eat the rust off.

pb blaster is a petroleum based product ... which will if ya give it time break down rust and free nuts.

wd 40 is water displacement product alcohol ...which will breakdown rust and hopefully free nutz.

if calcium is your issue like water pumps and anything that gets wet, use wd40 ... if rust is the issue metal on metal,  use pb blaster.

I gotta change my front hub bearings and from all indication it's going to need a 85ft breaker bar on the caliper bolts.   Imoner need that info PD.. finally some worthwhile info from this pacle.   I knew years of reading this site would eventually pay off.
