Smackoff results are more predetermined than Rasslin' matches at this point.  The winner has already been chosen, the only question is, will that future winner call?  If not, the predetermined #2 will win by default.

A bit won't win it this year.  Not unless the bit is something that goofs on the Mike/Chael bit.

I have a bad feeling that it really should have been retired last year, with the "round number" of 20.  This will be like Willie Mays or Shaq sticking around 2-3 years too many.

:lol   I still have to watch that movie, it's on the to-do list.

The Smackoff should be OK as long as everybody who showed up last year is back, plus Kaleb and Mark in Boston as first timers, they should have pretty good calls.
Iafrate, Doc Mike, and Joe in OC I'm assuming are out, they haven't been heard from in a while. Dan in DC probably not calling either.  Carbone who knows but I'll assume he's in.

That makes it Me, Brad, Mike, Chael, Mark, Carbone, Kaleb, Mark in Boston, J Stew?, Mike in Wichita?....yeah that's not that many people, then again there were only 9 last year I think.

As long as the top 6 or 7 calls are pretty good I'll consider it a good Smackoff.

Stew produces a local Fox show during the same time slot.

I'll try to get Joe up to speed. He usually comes here for research anyways.

Carbone is usually in.

We need to get some other time killers in there like Norman and Boatie :)

Vic, i am counting on you for a GREAT call this year  - not a good but a GREAT call.  if not you are a bigger failure than Jim Rome's clock management skills with the sports update.

We need to hear from Greg in Vegas.  Nothing beter than Parkinson's jokes, references to Ron Santo's wooden foot and Tom Watson's caddie earning a "one-stroke" penalty.
