I think if they win the title he leaves. If they don't he does 1 year to try prove he was needed and then his stock goes up even higher after that 1 year deal

I can't see him signing a one year deal if he has multi year offers. 

Pro athletes rarely like one year deals to prove anything.  They want multiple years and as much money as they can get.

Probably a good thought, but I need to read what the only pro athlete on SN has to say about it, especially as it relates to teh pro slalom circuit.

Normally yes, but the NBA TV deal is up after next season, so it is expected to result in MORE money for a max player.  Signing a one year deal lets him negotiate an even bigger deal then.

Given Love's injury history I would take the guarantee.

I may try to get an opt out clause but I wouldn't sign a one year deal and leave myself at risk.
