CBS Sports Radio Network - Recycling guests
« on: July 09, 2015, 08:57:52 am »
You would think a radio network sets up their programming
to entertain a listener throughout the day, but quite often
Doug Gottlieb interviews the same people Jim Rome interviews
within a couple of hours.  Their interview styles are different
but we still get the same answers/stories.

For instance, on Monday they both interviewed Chad Pfeifer.
Yesterday they had Connor McGregor.  There's plenty of more
examples but I'm too lazy to research it, but you get the point.

Then there's Super Bowl radio row.... forget about it!

I don't think this is a CBS thing.  I remember when I used to listen to Rome more often that you would hear the same guys on Patrick or other shows.

Generally these are guys who are looking to sell or promote something and are doing the rounds of just about anyone who will take to them.  They don't care and they don't assume htat you listen all day.

yeah, i get that FP, and i hear these guys going show to show on different networks,
but it just seems odd that they go back-to-back on the same network.  the idea is
for people to not change stations.  hearing the same stories over and over has me
reaching for the dial.
