World Champions?
« on: February 08, 2016, 07:28:35 am »
Allow me to be a "schmuck" for a minute :lol

This has been questioned in the past. Here's a 2008 British article with some pretty valid points.

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2008/nov/18/american-sports-nfl-nba-mlb

The counter argument for the NFL though is that it's ..."pretty safe to say the Super Bowl champion is the best American football team in the world."

I wholeheartedly agree but can you say the same for MLB and NBA? Probably a better argument for NBA since the U.S. Olympic basketball team dominates every 4 years but what about baseball?

The Hindu football league champs could beat the Broncos' ass (Ralp is eligible to play cause of skin tone)

Have you seen Akbar Dalliwal Singh's passing numbers?

My guess is, the World Series champion would beat any other league's champion. Hell, the WS champion could probably beat most other countries' national teams. The Stanley Cup champs would probably beat any other league's champions. Soccer is pretty much the only sport where the North American pro league's champion wouldn't win. Sorry the rest of the world had to find out this way.
