Damn, we just lost another great. ELP keyboardist Keith Emerson has left us at age 71. ELP, along with YES and Genesis (with Peter Gabriel) were the backbone of the prog rock movement in the early 70's and Emerson's talents on the keyboard were virtually unmatched, in my opinion...aside from maybe Rick Wakeman. His work on "Tarkus" and "Brain Salad Surgery" particularly stand out to me.

He also "joined" Emerson Lake and Powell. RIP. Sad to know that he offed himself. Saw ELP in concert circa 1973. Outstanding show.
