Kentucky contributed significant numbers of troops to both sides.
Teh Derbuh is one helluva party. One of the few things I miss about the southern Midwest.
Union fielded about 75 official regiments to the Confederates about 10 infantry and a random assortment of various official/unofficial cavalry. Probably not terribly indicative though of where the balance of loyalties of the whole state lie as the amount of troops raised by the Union was much higher because they actually controlled the state for the vast majority of the war.
