Maybe we'll find out in the next few days.  Some people are talking shit about him being overrated, but he was damn good last year.  What I don't get is that he's already going to turn 29 years old this year, only been playing like 4 years.

Possibly a renegotiation trick.  He seems to want a long term deal, Carolina has the cap space, but didn't want to pay $14 million for one year.

True but thats what Revis and Sherman make. He's definitely a top 5 corner and can command that kind of jack. I just hope the Cowboys will pony up and finally cut that slug Claiborne

He meets with the Skins Friday.  Hopefully they dont overpay for what was 1 season of being really good. 

Panthers slapped the tag on him and he never signed it, he had until a certain date to sign it and he still refused and was wanting to hold out and become the highest paid CB in the NFL, Panthers said fvck you and rescinded the offer.

he's very good but, I don't know if he's Darrelle Reavis $$$ good.  he'll definitely get the cash from somebody

Deal is pretty flexible as well, if he doesn't live up to the $$$ they can get out of it easily. Skins contract guru knows what he's doing.

Gotta spend your cap money on something, might as well shore up a glaring area of need.

Skins are quietly putting together a good roster it seems like - their GM McCloughan is supposedly one of the best personnel guys around.  If they continue to build up their lines they could get pretty nice.

Not to mention it frees them up to focus on other positions in the draft which is loaded on defense so more talent will be coming in next week. Offense is already good, defense could be top-5 next season if things pan out.
