John in Little Rock
« on: June 09, 2016, 07:55:04 pm »
Enough with this fool. He sin't funny or Amusing. The other two parody
guys are bad. They are annoying. John is none of that. He just...is.
Thankfully, his garbage is short. The bad part is listening to everyone
suck his ass as though he were some sort of genius like THIS guy:

You telling me to read more of what is on offer here would be like me bringing Floyd Mayweather into McDonalds and telling him he needs to eat more.

Okay. Speaking of...

How come Sean Jones and Don "Smack'Lain" seem to have become
personas non grata in the jungle?

The list of jungle favorites who have dropped off the grid
is growing.

I'm sure it's because people go their own way after a few
years. Is it?

ALSO, why has the guest host list shrunk to just Kyle or
the big radio voice guys who all sound the same?

When Rome went on vacation it was a sort of wild frontier of
guest hosts. Not anymore.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too, the whole guest host thing.  Jay Jay has his own show so I get why he's not on but seems like the Sklars were goto guest hosts at one point now they have gone years with out filling in.  All of them are on good terms since the Sklars have done the Showtime show, maybe CBS cut the guest host budget because Larry Merchant doesn't fill in anymore (thank god!).

Rome doesn't even do a best of show anymore, those were great when TRodge or JStew would host in between clips.  Joey Vendetta is too meh for me, Sciliano is an A or an F guest host, great on the RedZone though, if it's not Kyle I don't even bother, usually I just load up on podcasts now for guest host, or when another NCAA head coach is being interviewed.

The one where John ran out of words or lost his script and just beatboxed the rest of the Safety Dance song was the only call I liked and I liked it for the same reasons I 'like' all his calls; Rome's confused reaction post song.  Rome's bit about wondering how the song is topical is hilarious also his slight mocking of John's beatboxing is also good for a laugh but I never understood why Rome likes John's calls.  His A to F ratio is much worse than the other parody guys.

The other parody guys all have 1 or 2 songs I actually like, Joes Were The Days had me dying even Larry's one rap song, I missed the first part of the call because when "PLarr" started to beatbox I just lost it, that was so funny just how bad it was.  And I usually listen to Lance's Macerena parody once a month lol.

:D about loading up on podcasts for when another NCAA coach is being interviewed!

I used to be the same way, but listening to these guys over the years has won me over.
They're really fascinating characters and getting their insights on leadership etc
is awesome.

Plus there was that one guy who was writing a book about Geronimo. So, yeah, I know
what you're saying, but these guys have actually become my favorite inverviews.

I usually like bad callers, but Lance and the other guy honestly make me cringe for them. I hate it!

Remember when bad calls used to make Rome read out of the Yellow Pages?
