Smack Off Intro
« on: June 30, 2016, 04:01:49 pm »
Rome could add another segment of calls if he didn't spend the first fifteen minutes telling
everybody what they already know.

It's not heightening the drama. This is the time where more of the callers and less of him is good.

He should open the show with a hello and then get to it. He's been setting it up for months.

Oh, and his L. James take the other day had the word "bounce" in it 7 times.

Last year was 17. 18 if you count the Mike bit. Short calls can extend that number and the only golden ticket winner that I can see getting to the end of his call is John in Little Rock who is usually on the short side. Would be awesome to hear the old school hour 1 of the Smackoff line "We're banging through phone calls" as he burns through 4 calls in 1 segment. Even in the Smackoff Rome can turn a bad call into gold. My favorite was after Brendan in Wilmington's Smackoff call when Rome's reaction was basically "You'll never get that shot again."

I love the intro. I'm sure he takes as many calls as he needs to.

The whole world is on twitter, I understand he moves the needle with the "social media" But nobody wants to here my take on "ITS OVER" on twitter after the first call. :lol
BTW I will be on hold as Jeff in Richmond this year. :lol
Thanks for the vine and thanks for the time. :koolaid

I am off work today, it starts in 5 minutes... And I am still undecided... The "Chael wins" year really ruined the mystique of it.

with the new clock, he might mix in a call in the first segment.  he has more time in the first and third segments of the hour.
