I do think he mentioned battling cancer during a call.

Thanks for the links - hoping more than a few of us donate to the fund for his daughters.

His emails are what clone humor is all about and why the Rome show is an island of sanity in a sea of turgid sports radio.

his emails, like most of them, were idiotic, and had the creativity of a mouse without his wheel. Anybody who ever laughed at them is an idiot. His calls, though, were pretty good.

He called once about his daughter having issues with concussions. I don't think he had cancer.

Wow, sorry to hear this.  He's been around forever.  Anyone know when Rome originally read the story about hunters having smaller cranks?  I don't know if his emails went back before that take, but I know he started emailing regularly with the non-hunter tag shortly after.

RIP

RIP to Dave and my condolences to his family (beautiful family btw)This is terrible news.  Especially considering in my mind The Non Hunter was alot older, in the pic in Steve's tweet guy looks relatively young like 30's early 40's-ish.  Rare is the two way clone that can call and email had he did it extremely well.  Tremendous loss for both the Jungle and his family.

Very sorry to hear about this. Always loved what Dave offered to the show. I encourage everyone to make a financial contribution to his memorial fund. Thanks for sharing the link.
