Solar power
« on: August 30, 2017, 02:00:27 pm »
Just had some dood trying to sell me that shit.
Any of you losers have solar panels on your shacks?
It would only be on the back of the house so it wouldn't be an eyesore.
Sounds too good to be true.
They pay for the infrastructure (panels) and sell underuse back to the electric company while granting you credits blah blah you know how this works, I think.

What am I missing? They even have an option of storing energy at your location (prepper shit :koolaid)
This company was recently purchased by Tesla

if they are paying for it, then try it.

i like the solar panel idea, but the return on investment isn't quite there yet.

This is where it all gets in the weeds, I mostly agree. They cover it (bumper to bumper if you will) for the life of the loan (20 years). They also offer the ability to take it with you or sell it with the house and the new owner would take on the loan.

Does this take into account the subsidy from the Peoples Republic of California?

I belieb the tax incentive for doing it is more federal than state driven.
