If they try more to emulate what the USFL did and less what the XFL did, there's a good chance it could work.

If I wanted to watch a bunch of college has-beens who couldn't hack it in the NFL play football, I'd just tune into the Canadienne Football League.

Just based on what do you think this would work?  I don't see why it would be any better this time than it was for any previous league.  Minor League Baseball and Minor League Baseball are not popular.

So what makes you think this league would be any better.

Though I guess we would have to discuss what you think of is successful.  I mean Triple AAA is successful but I don't think that is what you meant.

Cash grab, pure and simple.
Sub standard players, sub standard TV deals..Sub standard fan base.

This won't last but one year, like before.

And McMahon saying that they won't let players with legal convictions can't play...haha good luck with that.

My guess is ole Vince will drop dead before this thing happens in 2020.

2020?  Hmm, by that time Donald Drumpf will have been impeached, and can buy a franchise and ruin the league just like he did with the NJ Generals & USFL.

Now we need to know what names the QBs will have on their shirts:

Capernick:  "Take A Knee"
Tebow:  "TDs 4 Jesus"
Cutler:  "Who's Open?"
Geno Smith:  "He Hate Me Jr"
Western Michigan BroncosSt. Louis CardinalsPhoenix SunsSt Louis Blues

I was mainly implying that the USFL would draft some top notch talent (like Hershel Walker), apparently they outbid the NFL.  You get the top flight talent in the new pro football league, you may have a better than average chance to make it work.

Also former players like Tebow still have fans, picking up some bigger name players not currently in the game couldn't hurt either.

Perhaps they waive age restrictions and allow players straight out of high school, so they get paid a couple of years before being eligible for NFL draft.

Then college football suffers.
