Wow - are they changing format?

Rome: "San Diego listeners, if you're upset: I'm not telling you what to do..."

I see you working Rome.

yes, less people listen to the show than before

but... san diego fan probably doesn't want to listen to an LA guy talk chargers and other professional sports that their city doesn't have a team for.

i'm pretty sure all AM radio stations numbers are down with people being able to stream a better quality signal from their phones.

Right. I can understand dropping Rome for something local, but for LeBatard? Makes no sense.

kinda sucks just from nostalgia, but rome [sic] has a point, there are tons of ways to listen now.
1090 carries no nostalgia.  Rome was on XTRA 690, not 1090, when XTRA's beacon was planted in TJ.

But yeah, getting dropped for LeBastard is a slap in the grill.  Is the whole station flipping to BSPN radio? :monkey2

Listeners choosing LeBatard over Rome?  WOW.  LeBatard is awful. Cowherd not much better.

This just may be the beginning of the end....it was a great run.

listeners didn't make the decision.  the station PD was on a show the other day and said he was going to try lebatard but didn't really expect it to work.  i think it's just a bandaid til they go all local.

I've listened to Rome for 20 years or so. And LeBatard and his crew are a bit of what Rome used to be. Not afraid to push the envelope, piss off the suits, talk non-sports stuff. In no way are they the same. Dan is more "let's talk race and social Injustice"  and that does get old at times. But I find it funny. And it's like Rome himself says, it takes a few weeks to get the show.
