Smackoff Thoughts
« on: June 26, 2018, 10:15:48 pm »
I've made about two dozen calls to the show over the last 2 years- every one of em's been better than Vic's 2010 smackoff call.

I don't care that Terence has never won a smackoff.  I still rank em #3 all time.

Even before Jim announced the rule change, there was no way Leff was invading the studio again.  He'll have to rely on straight smack to win a 3rd straight- he and his writers have the game to do it.

I'd have to say the loudest I ever laughed at a Rome take was the first time he laid out softball.  Steve- if you could pull that up I'd appreciate it.  I'd say it was around 15 years ago.

It had been a while since I heard Whitey's Dad before today's reset- one of the single greatest moments in show history.  Iafrate went all-time legend.

Jungle spin-offs are great..... stucknut radio, matt in Van's Belligerent, Woodscopes, and Josh in Detroit.  Much appreciated, boys.

Maybe not in time for this year's smackoff, but Luke in Fort Collins will be back.  Solid dude and solid material.

I'll admit- it took me a while to listen to my pre-smackoff call last year when I get choppered.  It wasn't very good!

From time to time, I'll go on stucknut and listen to old smackoff calls.  I hope to do better than Mark in Buffalo's 2000 stinker.

Terence calling all the time back in the day probably hindered his shot at a title.  Sometimes you'd hear his smackoff call and say, 'wait a minute, his call two weeks ago was better.'

I was never a big Cablinasian guy.  Obviously, a great caller- just not my style I guess.  Probably wouldn't be in my top 10.
