Diclosure : I love me some Charles Wade Barkley,as a player and announcer. On the court, the rugged six-four-and-three-quarters-inch,275-pounder rebounded far above his height, once being the NBA'S leading rebounder ,plus he backed down from nobody. He's as much a presence in the booth, sometimes out there but often spot-on . (And we're both Business Administration majors at our respective Universities,Windor,Ont.,Can. for Yours truly : Auburn for Sir Charles. )
However, since like all sports leagues, the NBA is a copy-cat concern, for about a decade, teams lost their common sense as they drafted a bunch of tubby dudes they believed would be the next Barkley, unearthing now such comparable,as " The Round Mound Of Rebound" is one of a kind. This flawed thinking hurt some clubs for years and depressed the level of play in the 90's. What say you, boyos ?
