Each year National Receptionists’ Day is observed on the second Wednesday in May. National Receptionists’ Day was created to give recognition to receptionists and the valuable contributions they make to the companies they work.

Technically speaking, no. Receptionists' functions are looking pretty, greeting folks with a flirtacious smile as they enter the lobby and sorting out the Door Dash orders during lunch hour. Administrative professionals usually have a bit more of a diverse skill set, typically being able to answer most questions during phone calls, filing, overseeing supplies, taking dicktation and most importantly, placing the Door Dash lunch orders.
