Watergate's 47th anniversary . (June 17,1972. )
« on: June 17, 2019, 09:15:28 am »
Forty-seven years ago today, five men bugled the Democratic National Committee's (DNC) office at Washington,D.C's Watergate Office Complex. This "third-rate burglary" toppled the 38th U.S. President,Richard M. Nixon, who was forced to resign or face all-but-certain impeachment for "high crimes and misdemeanours";"Tricky Dick" would have been the second President after Andrew Johnson to experience this punishment. Save the guard who discovered the crime,it would not have come to light without the dogged determination of Washington Post reporters Robert Woodward and Carl Bernstein. Many people believe Nixon would have skated were Watergate to have occurred today due to the dearth of investigative journalism. How 'bout it,boys ?

Hahaha hahaha !!

Nowadays you can commit blatant treason, you can fvck pornstars and pay them off with public money, and most importantly, resigning is for pussies.

I'll launch every nuke in the arsenal and take every life on earth before admitting fault or accepting defeat.

From "Sweet Home Alabama," the worst goober song ever recorded or played on the radio . (My maternal grandmother was born in 1898 in Tuscaloosa,Ala. Think she experienced "Sweet Home Alabama" as an early twentieth century sharecropper sans indoor plumbing and other "amenities" before she escaped Alabama, went to Detroit,Mich. and married my grandfather ?)
