everybody could see from a mile away Cole was leaving, but can you really blame the man for chasing the almighty dollar? I know I can't. I think the Stros will be just fine next year. Pitching staffs (staves?) are very fluid in 2019, and will be in 2020. Maybe you guys are just a pitching factory. I mean nobody talks about people like Charlie Morton, who left the Stros and went on to go 3rd in Cy Young voting this year. That's the top 3 of the AL Cy Young voting along with Verlandy and Cole, all Stros or former! who knows, maybe Bryan Abreu is your next 20 game winner?

But what do I know, I thought Collin McHugh was the next big thing

Jim Crane knows where the bodies are buried

Quote
Crane said that he did not think the Astros' World Series title in 2017 was "tainted."

That doesn't exactly jive with, y'know, you firing your GM, you firing your manager, being hit with several league penalties... (including a $5,000,000 fine... where exactly does that 5 mil go, by the way?)

This whole thing is a stain on baseball. Everyone involved should be banned for life from the sport, hell that's what they did to Pete Rose and all he did was bet on himself.
