I watched this video last night, frank. Throughout and especially at the end I was just like "...yeah?"... i mean it's kinda like making a video called "How big is the ocean REALLY?"... spoiler alert: it's pretty fvcking big! and pete maravich was pretty fvcking good! the stats don't lie, he was one of the greatest college basketball players EVER and even a hall of famer as a pro. He was happier than a pig in shit with the ball in his hands and would score 44 points on you as proof. the only thing i will say is that i never really knew (or had forgotten a long time ago) how he died, i just knew he died real young, so i can thank the video for that i guess :koolaid

Pete died of cardiac arrest after playing in a pick up basketball game with a group of friends. He went out doing what he loved to do, schooling fools on the hardwood. Pete is, in my mind, the greatest showman with the basketball I have ever seen.

Thanks for sharing Frank.  :koolaid

the bank was open for George Gervin that day! and while he was content to just bank them in all day, the pistol won with what you the viewer might see as unconventional trick shots but those are fair game in H-O-R-S-E!

they really put those commentators in a tough spot, can't really read the score out without risking the audience thinking they're mother is being insulted

Pistol Pete was a generation ahead of his time with his blinding array of passes and seemingly endless shooting range . (His father,,"Press" Maravich, coached him at LSU,and Pete averaged 44 points a game, though LSU struggled to play .500 when the Maraviches were there. Press Maravich was a crazy racist SOB who didn't want black players on his teams, which suffered greatly because of Old Man Maravich's bigotry.)
