Disney (which has already shown itself to be a huge SJW corporation) decided to reboot a favorite tv drama from the '90's; Party of Five (94-'00) & show it on their FreeForm channel. Most reboots are shitty and usually involves bringing back some of the cast members from the original show (think Fuller House on Netflix) and having be adults and married/divorced w/children. The Party of Five reboot doesn't even come close to that.
I've not (and probably won't) watched an episode but, I saw the clip and lets just say Disney went out of their way to get their point across. The original family was a family of seven and the parents died in a car crash leaving the kids to fend for themselves and get through life as best they can. The family in the reboot is Mexican. They are trying to get into the U.S. but, they don't (of course) have the proper paperwork. This leads to the parents being left at said border while the 5 kids are allowed to leave and enter the U.S. (not much of a narrative there is there Disney) and fend for themselves (as in the original).
Way to go Disney; way to go.
