Godspeed Trapper. I kinda thought that as much as he meant to the show, he'd get the first segment today instead of a regular season NBA game, or maybe after the first interview, instead of another segment reminding us that Rome used to be friendly with Kobe. I get wanting to push it later in the show when there's more time and room to pay proper respects, and I thought the tribute was nice. I know Trapper wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but it was nice to see the venom from the early days evolve into mostly begrudging respect for him as a legend. He used to be the target of so much hate in the jungle (probably peaking around the time he and John made the tandem call, which is still in the top 10 of WTF moments in the history of the show), and he always handled it like a boss.
I'm glad Trapper is getting the respect he deserves. He was a hell of a character in the jungle, and from all accounts, seemed to be a guy who lived life to its fullest.
