first off, bravo to the guy making a movie (Cry Macho) at 90. we'd all be so lucky(?) but this shit was horrible and the story was stupid and the character motivations were non-existent.

so let's dial it back to when he made intelligible movies with delicate pacing that made sense

I seem to remember thinking Letters From Iwo Jima was pretty gude.

Million Dollar Baby I thought was overrated slop, although Hillary Skank can act.

Saw his last one, The Mule, and it was complete ass, so I'll be skipping this Cry Macho one.

Gran Torino was ok I guess, and whaddayaknow, my boy BLACKPILLED has a video on that one too (my recommendation is watch it on 1.75x speed to save time):

I honestly can't remember the last Clint Eastwood movie that I thought was good.
Bridges over Madison County, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby....all sleepers.

I liked Every Which Way but Loose when I was a kid, so there's that.   My first house was actually in a scene in Bronco Billy, which was filmed in the park across the street from where I used to live.

The original spaghetti western Fistful of Dollars is tops.  Underrated and underappreciated.  Does have a superfluous scene which gives it pacing issues but I will forgive.

Unforgiven is overrated crap.
