I did something this week that I ha ...... (TIME OUT)
Let's back up one second here ....
Please notice I said "I did something this week"
as opposed to an ignorant trend that I am seeing way to much
of lately ...
"I did a thing"
I want to punch a bastard in the mouth every time I see that posted.
resuming ......
I did something this week that I have not done for over 14 years.
Being chained to a desk more and more the last few years, I have
listened to this and that, searched high and low for good back ground
noise and have just become burned out on virtually everything.
For whatever reason, I am not really sure why, I decided to give Rome
a listen on Monday. It's no longer available here in KC that I know of,
but you can listen along just fine on Rome.com I was prepared to listen
for about 10 minutes, get pissed off again that the show was no longer
the same, be reminded how T-Rog got fvcked and Kyle Brandt made the
show unlistenable and all, but that was not the case.
Instead, I heard a show that really harkens back to the days of old. There
are a few of the annoying sound effects, but scaled way back from the
Brandt days. The 28th Smack Off is coming in June and that has been
a big topic this week. I have caught parts of the SO over the last few
years and thought they were pretty horrible for whatever the hell that
is worth, and that is probably a good reason why I have not bothered
listening to the regular show sooner. I ended up tuning in every day.
I had missed a call from good old
Jeff in Richmond last Friday, but Rome played a portion of the call, and I
was able to find the full call on yt. Also of note was Rome's rant about
"Pound Town."
"take the skin boat to tuna town :rotfl:
Clown if you want... but after 14 years, I think I may resume clone status
for a while and continue listening in daily.
