"C'mon, let's do it!"
« on: August 31, 2006, 11:26:53 pm »
Back when I still had Team 1290 the emailers' greatest moment ever happened. What happened was an NBA player who's name escapes me was busted for sexual harassment or attempted rape or something like that when he came on to his babysitter. She came into a room and he was on the couch naked and said, "c'mon, let's do it!" out of nowhere! This spawned the greatest avalanche of resets in the history of the Jungle. It got so bad that Romey had to cut to commercials from laughing so hard.

Does anyone remember who the player who did this was?

Rome cutting away because he was laughing so much?  That must have been a long time ago...

Team1290 died in 2003 or so. That means this aired somewhere between 2002 and 2003. It got so bad that Jim had to tell Travis to shut down the emails because he couldn't get through a segment. Some of the classics:

"C'Mon John in C-Town, LET'S DO IT!

Sincerely,
Trapper"

"C'Mon Jim in Fall River, LET'S DO IT!

Sincerely,
The Donkey"

"C'Mon Vinnie Mac, LET'S DO IT!

Sincerely,
HHH"

"C'Mon Silk, let's do it!

Sincerely,
David Duke"

It got worse and worse as the remainder of the day progressed and even the callers were doing 'let's do it' resets.

Is this for real?

If so, somebody needs to dig up some audio somehow. Or we need to start warring "Come Let's Do It!" in our emails.

I have tried to find this on LimeWire for a long time but had no success. This is mainly because I don't remember the airdate of that show. I've found old Terrence in Sierra Madre clips and some Smack Off clips and the always classic Horny Goat Weed take but never the Ruben Patterson take. It's too bad because this may have been the single greatest day in the history of the Jungle completely in spite of itself.
